A Gathering of Voices
Celebrating the music heritage of North Carolina
The Gathering of Voices is a two-day music and cultural celebration presented by The Music Industry Center (The MIC) in association with the Spirit of Freedom nonprofit organization, and made possible through the NC America 250 Grant awarded by, and in partnership with the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
Taking place at Raleigh’s historic Dix Park on June 20–21, 2026, this vibrant event honors 250 years of American music through an engaging oral-history segment and live performances by multi-genre artists, this event invites attendees to explore the stories and sounds that have shaped our cultural landscape, connect with fellow music lovers, and honor the enduring power of song in our shared history.
